The most common requirement for sharps disposal is via medical rooms or other areas designated for the use of people who require regular medication (such as diabetics etc). However it is now a fact of life that social drug abuse has spread into the wider community leading to the indiscriminate disposal of syringes. It is an increasingly critical concern for all businesses to show due diligence in the prevention of needle-stick injuries on their premises.
Pink Healthcare Services have a wide range of sizes and styles to meet our customer’s requirements. In some cases Pink can also provide a lockable, sturdy, full metal bracket that houses an approved sharps container, which can installed in the washroom area. This allows any sharps to be deposited in a safe manner, thus greatly reducing the risk of needle-stick injury to your staff and your visitors. The used sharps container is replaced with a new container and the old container is sent for destruction and incineration.
Pink can provide a variety of sharps container sizes to suit individual requirements, from smaller “sharps only” containers to large sharps/soft waste containers.
